Prospective Wolfpack Families -
I hope this message finds you and your family well in these unusual times. I would also like to say if someone in your family is a hospital worker, first responder or an essential employee who has been going to work every day to take care of the rest of us we thank you!
A lot of people have been asking what the upcoming youth travel hockey season is going to look like, and the fact of the matter is at this point we are not 100% sure. As you know the Wolfpack family of teams is part of USA Hockey in the Atlantic District and as with the rest of the teams in New Jersey we look toward them for guidance in this unprecedented time.
One of the topics for discussion has been skipping try-outs this season and for each organization to hold signup sessions for our 2020 / 2021 teams. There has also been some talk regarding limiting interstate travel for over night tournaments until late in the season. Lastly, as long as there are social distancing orders in place there will be changes to how the parents and players interact in and out of the arenas, locker rooms and benches.
No matter what changes we need to make, rest assured that the Wolfpack Hockey Club is committed to the safety of our players and their families first and foremost, and will be working closely with the Atlantic District to implement any changes that need to be made. You can also rely on us to keep you and your family informed regarding our new season. We are as eager as you to getting back to the ice and enjoying the youth hockey season. We will continue to send email messages and updates as we learn more from the District regarding signups / tryouts.
Stay Safe! Thank you, Joe Oliveri.
