Parents,

As you are aware due to the current state of affairs in New Jersey the Wolfpack  / Wolverine pre-skate and tryouts have be placed on hold until further notice.

We will be encouraging our coaches to reach out to players with creative ideas for off ice workouts and to keep their hockey skills sharp during this down time. If you have already been doing off ice work outs at home, please share some photos / video with your coach!

USA Hockey has also published a statement regarding the postponement of tryouts. You should have received it in email, if not I have attached a copy below.

UPDATE: AAHA TRYOUTS

March, 2020

TO: Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA) / USA Hockey Participants –

As most should know, the AAHA has postponed all tryouts for the Youth and Girls levels at 12U, 10U and 8U, for both Tier I, Tier II and Independent registration levels, and it was our intent to provide an updated schedule by today. Because of recent decisions issued by State Government officials in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, we are refraining from issuing new dates at this point in time, however we anticipate tryouts would resume no earlier than April 7th, the date used for the 14U levels and older.

AAHA Rules and Regulations prohibit AAHA Associations from offering a "commitment contract for the following season prior to the AAHA approved tryout dates”. The AAHA provides for significant penalties to those organizations that offer contracts or requires the payment of money from a player or player’s family prior to the approved tryout dates. If you are offered a contract for participation with an AAHA Organization for the purposes of a participation in the 2020-21 regular USA Hockey season, please advise this office immediately.

We have every expectation that our Organizations will abide by our rules and decision, as required under Affiliate Guidelines. We have discussed these important matters with USA Hockey leadership who recognize and support our authority to make these determinations.

This has been an interesting period of time to say the least. The Affiliate leadership is working diligently to consider other member concerns. Should you have any questions, please contact your Club leadership first, then if you still have questions, please contact us at info@aahahockey.org

Stay Healthy!
