Important Information From The Woodbridge Community Center

Wolfpack Families,

In the last few weeks several teams within the Wolfpack Hockey Club and as well as throughout NJ have been placed on quarantine for possible exposures to a positive Covid-19 teammate, parent, friend, etc. and has contracted the virus.  As an organization, we take this very seriously and instituted health code regulation policies siding on the air of caution with ongoing pandemic. The USA Hockey Atlantic District Affiliate called for an organizational meeting last night as this situation is very fluid right now with an uptick of numbers related to Ice Hockey events throughout the state and surrounding areas.  I am proud to say that our program along with the rink staff and parents have done a great job creating the safest environment possible to keep the child playing the game and have been recognized by the league.

Everyone has been doing their part however, it is imperative that you speak with your child about wearing face coverings while in the WCC building.  Being in the changing areas unmasked does not mean that your child is protected by spread of germs and or viruses.  Our staff at the WCC has been keeping a close eye on the situation and constantly see players not wearing their masks or not wearing them properly.  Players should be using the installed hand sanitizers or washing their  hands frequently .

Another issue was also brought to our attention by the district was parents as outside spectators not following proper CDC guidelines and directions of practicing social distancing and wearing face coverings in close proximity while your child is playing their games.  The district is keeping a close eye on the situation of tailgate type events and parental gatherings in rink parking lots.

As a whole, the organization has had to make numerous changes to the ways of watching, scheduling games, or attending tournament events.  We all know these are tough times of not being able to watch your child play the sport we all enjoy and love, but just remember we all need to make the right decisions to keep them playing.

On behalf of the Wolfpack, I want to thank you and your family for all of your cooperation and sacrifice...

Please let me know if you have any questions.
